The EXR4692 Click-In Load Pins are heavy-duty, 12-inch steel uprights designed to create a fast, modular load support system for carrying lumber, plywood, drywall, and oversized materials on EXR click-in crossbars.

Built from high-strength steel and finished with electroplating and powder coating for corrosion resistance, the EXR4692 pins use EXR’s patented click-in system to lock securely into the crossbar while allowing instant installation and removal—no tools required.

Purpose-Built for Lumber & Drywall

The EXR4692 is specifically designed to make transporting construction materials simple, stable, and efficient. When installed vertically, the pins act as load stops, allowing materials such as lumber to be stacked against them and secured using standard tie-down straps.

As the straps are tightened, the load is pulled downward into the crossbars—where friction is highest—resulting in a tight, stable bundle that resists shifting during transport.

For best performance, EXR recommends pairing with EXR4951 premium tie-down straps, engineered for low stretch, high strength, and superior grip.

This system works exceptionally well for:

• Lumber and dimensional boards
• Plywood, MDF, PVC sheets

• Long or irregular construction materials

Optimized for Standard Sheet Sizes

When used with EXR 51" click-in crossbars, the inside spacing between two installed pins is approximately 48.5 inches—making it ideal for carrying standard 48-inch-wide plywood, drywall, MDF, PVC, and more with a secure, centered fit.

The EXR4692 utilizes EXR’s patented click-in interface, which mechanically interlocks into the crossbar rather than relying on clamps or friction. This provides a strong, stable connection while maintaining the ability to install or remove the pins in seconds. Approved straps must be used to secure the items down.

Load Capacity & Safety

The EXR4692 is capable of supporting substantial loads when used with EXR crossbars and proper strapping techniques. However, total load capacity is always limited by the vehicle manufacturer’s roof load rating.
